Dr. Kathleen Schultz joins Ehrenman & Khan Pediatric Dentistry!

We are thrilled to officially welcome Dr. Kathleen Schultz to Ehrenman & Khan Pediatric Dentistry!

Dr. Schultz is excited to enter Private Practice after six years of providing patient care and educating residents at Northwell Hospitals.

Dr. Kathleen Schultz earned her Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) degree from the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine in 2014.

In 2017, she completed a residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology at North Shore University Hospital & Long Island Jewish Medical Center (NS/LIJ) serving as Chief Resident for her final year and a half. Following her pathology training Dr. Schultz began advanced training in the treatment of pediatric and special needs patients. Her training included behavior management, caring for special needs patients, sedation dentistry, hospital dentistry, and caring for traumatic dental emergencies. In 2019, she completed her residency in Pediatric Dental Medicine at Cohen Children’s Medical Center, serving as Chief Resident for her final year. Dr Schultz is a Diplomate of both the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and the American Board of Oral Pathology.

In 2019, following residency Dr. Schultz became an Assistant Professor at the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell. In this role she provided instruction to Northwell pediatric and pathology residents as well as caring for her own patients. She became a member of the Hagedorn Cleft and Craniofacial team treating patients with cleft lip, cleft palate and other craniofacial disorders. Dr. Schultz was also a member of the surgical pathology service at Northwell. She collected and reviewed biopsy specimens, accurately diagnosing diseases and conditions of the head and neck. Her diagnostic skills include biopsies, cytology, evaluation of genetic disorders and radiographic assessment of bony diseases.

Dr. Schultz is a nationally recognized expert on pediatric oral pathology. She has lectured at oral health meetings on clinical and radiographic presentations of common and uncommon oral pathology in pediatric patients, notably those with syndromes and complex medical conditions. She has been an invited guest on Sirius XM Doctor Radio, as well as multiple podcasts.

In her free time, Dr. Schultz enjoys visiting museums, reading, baking, crafts, and fitness including weightlifting and yoga. She cherishes spending time with her family, including her husband and young son.

She will be offering more availability for high-quality pediatric dental care as part of our team as well as Oral Pathology Services!

In April this year, Dr. Glen Ehrenman received a Lifetime Diplomate status and an award from the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry (ABPD), where he has been a diplomate since 1995. Since 2010, he has been a clinical assistant professor and mentor at the State University of New York Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine. He has memberships with dental organizations such as the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, American Dental Association, New York State Dental Association, and the Nassau County Dental Society. His commitment to excellence earned him the Top DDS of 2012 award from Long Island Pulse Magazine.
